On March 12, 2026, an online training on digital hate, in context of the DAAD funded project"Transnational Education and Research Strategies Against Digital Hate 2026" took place in Moldova.
In partnership with the Free International University of Moldova (ULIM), disability rights activist and inclusive education expert Viktor Izbash (MSW, NGO Animo) led the online prevention training. The training reached over 60 professionals from day centers under the Chișinău Child Protection Department.
The training addressed cyberbullying as a growing form of digital violence, from direct threats and online shaming to emerging risks such as attacks on assistive technologies. Participants explored practical strategies for identifying and preventing cyberbullying, disinformation, and online hate speech, with a particular focus on protecting youth with disabilities.
This training marks the start of the project's practical implementation phase, translating research into hands-on educational formats across all four partner countries: Germany, Ukraine, Moldova, and Kyrgyzstan.
