SciCom Masterclass. Reflection, Strategy and Skills for Science Communication

Today's science communication is no longer about presenting fact-based content only, but also about one's own research personality.
As part of the master class, we analyze the topic of science communication from a holistic perspective, combining intrinsic motivations, internal and external communication processes. After completing the master class, the participants will have the necessary knowledge, skills and plans to conduct scientific communication independently and professionally.
1. Learning Unit | Passion: Clarity & Orientation (12 January 2024, 9 am - 1 pm)
- reflecting the own perspective on research interests and topics and how they are communicated
- developing storylines for different target groups
- structuring and formulating complex topics and content
- adapting to different target groups, media and communication situations
2. Learning Unit | Efficiency: Communication Matrix (19 January 2024, 9 am - 1 pm)
- designing a communication structure
- combining internal and external science communication
3. Learning Unit | Analysis: Storytelling (26 January 2024, 9 am - 1 pm)
- developing storylines for different target groups
- structuring and formulating complex topics and content
- adapting to different target groups, media and communication situations
