Hamburg curriculum for German Sign Language
In 2017, Hamburg’s Ministry of School and Vocational Education published a curriculum for German Sign Language. Among other things, it lists the competencies to be acquired in German Sign Language as well as the associated requirements and content. These are divided into 8 levels, which are assigned to the respective grades at comprehensive schools. This enables the conception and planning of lessons on German Sign Language as a teaching subject and required elective subject.
