The supplementary degree program at Universität Hamburg is oriented primarily for persons seeking full recognition of their teacher training qualifications earned abroad (in accordance with Sections 9 ff of the Hamburgisches Berufsqualifikationsfeststellungsgesetz (Hamburg occupational qualification assessment act, HmbBQFG) in conjunction with Section 3 of the Gesetz zur Umsetzung des Hamburgischen Berufsqualifikationsfeststellungsgesetzes für Lehramtsbefähigungen (act for implementing the Hamburg occupational qualification assessment act for teacher certification, HmbBQFUG-Lehramt). Therefore, the studies usually refer to a missing/ second teaching subject.
