“ReAction” Week Against Cyberbullying in Kyrgyzstan

A Week Against Cyberbullying ReAction: Your Response Matters! took place at the Bishkek Music and Pedagogical Institute named after T. Ermatov. The initiative was implemented in cooperation with the Taalim-Forum Public Foundation and aimed at strengthening responsible digital communication among future teachers and enhancing their professional capacity to address online aggression.
Around 200 students and faculty members participated in the week-long programme. Activities included interactive sessions, collaborative work on video materials and posters, and an interactive symposium focusing on the role of teachers in digital environments. The final event featured presentations of student projects and the introduction of a draft institutional Code of Digital Culture.
The initiative contributed to raising awareness of cyberbullying and supported the integration of digital ethics into teacher education. The materials developed during the week are expected to be used in further teaching practice and awareness-raising activities.
The activities were conducted within the DAAD funded project Transnational Educational and Research Strategies Against Digital Hate.
