LiDS congratulates WERA Visiting Research Award recipient Dr Cherry Zin Oo!

Dr. Cherry Zin Oo, lecturer at Myanmar Imperial College and PhD graduate from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia, has been awarded the WERA Visiting Researcher Award 2025.
Her research focuses on teacher education, assessment literacy, professional development, and large-scale assessment, with a particular interest in mixed-methods research and multilevel modelling. She has already been honored for her scientific achievements with the BERA Early Career Researcher Fellowship and the UNSW Research Student Award.

As part of her WERA scholarship, she will spend two months at the University of Hamburg from October 2025 onwards. In order to inverstigate the multilingual development of students in the German education system she will work with the MEZ dataset (Multilingualism Development over Time) during her stay.
