Cordial Invitation to the LiDS Lunch Lecture “Measuring what matters” on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 2:00 -3:30 p.m. in Room 213, Von-Melle-Park 8.
Literacy is a fundamental capability within a lifelong learning perspective. Low literacy skills are associated with lower employment rates and lower life satisfaction. Dr Souyoun Park, professor at the College of Liberal Arts at Anyang University, Korea, will present Korea's literacy assessments (KALS/KADLS) in the LiDS Lunch Lecture “Measuring what matters”. Prof Dr Anke Grotlüschen, professor of Lifelong Learning at the University of Hamburg, will provide insights into findings from LEO 2018 and PIAAC 2023. Together, they highlight priority actions to bridge basic and digital literacy and make individual competencies visible.
