The three LiDS members Claudia Kulmus, Karola Cafantaris, and Katharina Gensch, together with Jamila Schulz-Edwards and Jara Schulze, have published a new article in "Journal for Research on Adult Education". In their article they examine the life and learning experiences of women with a history of being "guest workers" as well as the spaces for action they use. Addressing a research perspective that has so far largely neglected women with a "guest worker" history the authors analyse these spaces for action and their interpretation in relation to educational biographies and social self-positioning making use of intersectional approaches and socio-spatial perspectives. Based on case studies the article reveals relevant constellations in which processes of discrimination and empowerment emerge, thereby highlighting the importance of socio-spatial approaches and intersectional perspectives for understanding the life and educational experiences of older women with migration histories. Through this publication, the LiDS members make an important contribution to understanding social and educational participation. Further information can be found in the article: Link
