The Next Generation Literacies Conference will take place in Hamburg from 11-12 January 2024. Within this framework, the network invites abstracts on research relating to linguistic diversity and social participation. Abstracts are welcome from emerging and established researchers alike, from across disciplines, who consider the role of language in mediating access to education, health, employment, law, and other social goods.

• The conference will take place at Universität Hamburg (Von-Melle-Park 3, 20146 Hamburg) from January 11-12, 2024.
• Abstracts are due September 8, 2023.
• Notifications will be due September 25, 2023.
• Registration begins on September 25, 2023.
• Keynote speaker announcement: Prof. em. David Little, Trinity College Dublin “Learner autonomy, plurilingualism and interculturality: Pedagogies for literacy in a democratic world.”
