The team in Moldova is based at the Free International University of Moldova (ULIM). ULIM is the first private higher education institution in Moldova, founded in 1992. The Faculty of Social and Educational Sciences brings together programs in psychology, education, and social work, and has built a strong national profile in research on social issues affecting young people.

Activity highlights

The Moldova team focuses on creating inclusive digital spaces for young people with disabilities, whose experiences of online hate remain underrepresented in research. In partnership with the Clinical Youth Network and NGO Animo, and institutions under the Chișinău Child Protection Department, the team has trained more than 130 professionals across education, health, and social protection sectors. These activities strengthen capacities to recognize cyberbullying, support youth exposed to digital hate, and promote inclusion online. The team also contributes to national policy dialogue on violence prevention, working closely with government agencies and international organizations, including UNICEF and UNFPA, to align project activities with broader safeguarding and inclusion efforts.
