The Ukrainian team is based at the State University of Intellectual Technologies and Communications (SUITT). SUITT is a public university in Odesa whose origins date back to 1930, when it was established as the Odesa National Academy of Telecommunications. The university now integrates research in technological and social science fields, with particular strengths in digital governance and public administration.

The Ukrainian team focuses on school-level responses to digital aggression, examining how schools can support students exposed to online hate and which institutional policies make a difference. They are working closely with the Association of School Heads of the Odesa Region and connecting the project with a wider network of Ukrainian universities, including Izmail State Humanitarian University, Kostiantyn Ushynskyi South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University, Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University, and Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.

Despite the war, our Ukrainian colleagues have maintained research activity throughout, including original data collection with young people under difficult conditions. The project benefits from their dedicated engagement and from a research perspective shaped by what digital hate looks like in wartime.
