"Measuring what matters"- LiDS Lunch Lecture with Dr. Souyoun and Prof. Dr. Anke Grotlüschen

Literacy is a fundamental capability within a lifelong learning perspective. Low skills are associated with lower employment rates and lower life satisfaction. Dr. Souyoun Park, professor at the College of Liberal Arts at Anyang University, Korea, will present Korea's literacy assessments (KALS/KADLS) in the LiDS Lunch Lecture “Measuring what matters” on November 4. Prof. Dr. Anke Grotlüschen, professor of Lifelong Learning at the University of Hamburg, will also provide insights into findings from LEO 2018 and PIAAC 2023. Together, they highlight priority actions to bridge basic and digital literacy and make individual competencies visible.
The LiDS Lunch Lecture will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 2:00 -3:30 p.m. in Room 213, Von-Melle-Park 8. Registration is requested: lids.ew@uni-hamburg.de
